Emacs MIME

このマニュアルは MIME メッセージの作成と表示に使われるライブラ リーを文書化したものです。

このマニュアルは MIME のエンコード/デコード処理の振る舞いを変 更したい利用者、Emacs MIME ライブラリーがどのように動作するか をもっと詳しく知りたい利用者、および MIME の要素を操作する関数 や命令を書きたい人たちを対象にしています。

MIME は Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions の省略表記 です。この標準は多数の RFC に文書化されていて、主なものは次の通りです: RFC2045 (インターネット・メッセージの本文の書式), RFC2046 (メディアタイ プ), RFC2047 (非-ASCII テキストのためのメッセージヘッダーの拡 張), RFC2048 (登録手続), RFC2049 (適合基準と事例)。MIME に準拠 したソフトウェアを書こうと思っている人は誰でも、少なくと も RFC2045 と RFC2047 は読んでおくことを強く勧めます。
